Overview
For more than 90 years, SEAOC has grown through the dedication of its four Member Organizations: SEAONC, SEAOSC, SEAOCC, and SEAOSD. That regional strength remains at the heart of who we are.
Today, SEAOC and its MOs maintain five separate administrative systems that prevent unified reporting on statewide membership, financial health, and program impact. The SEAOC Modernization efforts redirects existing administrative investments into shared infrastructure that works better for everyone without increasing dues or diminishing local identity.
The plan was developed with input from MO leadership and was unanimously approved by the SEAOC Board of Directors on February 27, 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions
On February 27, 2026, the SEAOC Board of Directors approved a three-year plan to modernize how SEAOC and its Member Organizations operate. This is a data and systems modernization initiative, consolidating membership, finance, and communications into one integrated platform while preserving the local identity and community that defines each MO.
SEAOC and its four MOs currently maintain five separate administrative systems each with its own membership database, accounting software, and vendor contracts. This makes it nearly impossible to report on statewide membership, financial health, or program impact as a single organization. This plan redirects existing administrative investments into shared infrastructure that works better for everyone.
The SEAOC Board of Directors unanimously approved the Modernization Business Plan on February 27, 2026. The plan was developed with input from MO leadership and reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger, more transparent statewide association.
No. SEAONC, SEAOSC, SEAOCC, and SEAOSD remain your primary professional communities. The reorganization strengthens the connection between local and statewide operations and it does not eliminate local identity or leadership. Each MO will maintain its own leadership responsible for local events, member engagement, and community programming.
Yes. MOs will continue to manage local programming and volunteer engagement. The SEAOC Board will hold statewide fiduciary and policy authority, while MO leaders participate in a Statewide Leadership Council that elevates regional perspectives to the full Board.
Novi is SEAOC's new Association Management System, approved by the Board in December 2025. It will serve as the single platform for membership records, event registration, continuing education tracking, and financial workflows across all MOs. A phased approach is underway with SEAOSC coming on board in late May 2026. SEAOCC and SEAOSD are anticipated to go-live in fall 2026 and SEAONC in early 2027.
Starting in 2026, renewals will move to a unified, streamlined process through Novi. The goal is a simpler, more consistent experience with one login, clear benefit messaging, and transparent dues allocation. Your MO affiliation and membership history will carry over.
Yes! In Phase 2 (2026–2027), SEAOC will build a core administrative team of full-time staff covering accounting, membership services, communications, and event coordination. These positions will be funded by reallocating administrative dollars currently spent across five separate management arrangements, not by adding new costs to members.
SEAOC will publish regular updates through email, this page, and social media as milestones are reached. Members will also have opportunities to provide feedback throughout the process. Questions? Contact Krystinne Mica, Executive Director, at kmica@seaoc.org
