SEAOC Honors Awards

The SEAOC Honors Awards honors individuals who have shown exemplary commitment and dedication to the Structural Engineers Association of California. There are two award categories:

The SEAOC Service Award(s):

The SEAOC Service Award honors outstanding individuals who have demonstrated recent exemplary service and contributions that have significantly impacted the profession and strengthened the SEAOC community.  Number of awards at the discretion of the SEAOC Officers.

The SEAOC Emerging Leader Award:

Recognizes an individual who has distinguished themselves as a leader and influential figure in their field of expertise. Award to be given to early-career professionals (with less than 15 years working experience in Structural Engineering) who are making significant contributions to the profession and demonstrating a commitment to advancing structural engineering excellence. 

The recipients of the awards are selected by the SEAOC Officers. Nominations are made by current SEAOC board members and current SEAOC board of directors are not eligible to receive the awards. Recipients are honored and recognized during the Thursday business lunch at the SEAOC Convention. Recipients receive a $1000 convention stipend and a plaque.
