Committee Mission & Charges
- Continue education within the structural engineering industry and grow as engineers and members of the SEAOSC
- Provide opportunities for younger members to socially network with seasoned members
- Plan/organize the February SEAOSC Student Night
- Assist with SEAOSC Membership Committee events
- Maintain contact with SEAOSC Student Chapters and identify opportunities to promote SEAOSC membership at local universities

Molly Pobiel
SGH
Molly Pobiel (She/They) is a licensed Civil Engineer in the state of CA who has been working in the structural engineering division of SGH since 2019. They have experience with new building design, seismic condition assessment and retrofit of structural systems, performance based structural fire design, and heat transfer analysis. Molly earned a master’s degree in Structural Engineering from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) with a focus on Earthquake Engineering and Structural Design. They have co-authored several presentations and papers, including an analysis of added loads to parking structures from electric vehicles. They have been a part of SEAOSC since 2020 and have participated on the Young Members Committee, Communications Committee, WISE, and the D&I Committee.

Nous Engineering
Mit is an active member of SEAOSC and is the Social Media Co-coordinator for the Young Members Committee. After getting his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Mumbai, Mit moved to Los Angeles to get a Master's Degree from UCLA. He has been working in the industry with Nous Engineering for over 5 years and has experience with Residential, Commercial and Special Structures both within the US and internationally.

Sikandar has 11+ years of managing complex multi-disciplinary construction projects nationwide ranging from $500K–$250M. He is experienced in integrating advanced scheduling, financial analysis, and sustainability consulting to streamline project transparency, stakeholder alignment, and timely project completion. He is a team player that is adept at networking and building strong client relationships.

Maria Mohammed
Structural Focus
Maria Mohammed joined Structural Focus in 2013 after graduating from the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Civil Engineering in 2012 and an M.S. in Structural Engineering in 2013. Maria is a licensed Structural Engineer in California and has extensive experience working on the retrofit and renovation of historic structures and existing buildings, as well as the design of new buildings. She has worked on significant projects at Structural Focus, including Google LA HQ, the John Anson Ford Amphitheatre, CBRE Masonic Temple, and several projects on the Paramount Studios lot, among others. Maria has been involved with the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California for many years. She was the co-chair of the Young Members Committee from 2016–2018 and has been the chair of the Communications Committee since 2018.
