Angel Leon

Simpson Strong-Tie Co., Inc.

Angel started his career in construction 44+ years ago and spent 17 of those years as a General Contractor that specialized in Custom Homes and Multi-Use Apartment Complexes. He then moved on to Simpson Strong-Tie in 2011 as the R&D Engineering Laboratory Technician and was soon promoted to Production Manufacturing Supervisor. He is now the Training Specialist/Outreach Coordinator for the Southwest Region of Simpson Strong-Tie. In his 13+ years with Simpson Strong-Tie, Angel has dedicated his work to educating our future industry professionals. He has obtained an Executive Certificate Degree in Leadership from the University of Notre Dame Mendoza Business School and a Master Executive Business Administration Degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas Lee Business School. Angel has been married to his amazing wife, Ana for 38 years and has two very successful children.

Michael Ayers

RGSE, Inc.

Michael is a licensed Professional Engineer with 5 years of structural design experience. He earned both a B.S. and M.S. in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. He currently works at RGSE Inc. – a Consulting Engineering firm in Simi Valley, CA. Outside of the office, Michael volunteers his time with high school students through the Los Angeles ACE Mentor Program and is an active member of SEAOSC.
