Minye Pak, SE, PE

Minye Pak, S.E. is a licensed structural engineer with 20 years of experience spanning both the private and public sectors. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to advancing public safety and strengthening the construction industry through code development, pre-development case management, plan review, and permitting. Notable projects while at LADBS include the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the LAX Automated People Mover, and the development of ePlanLA, the City of Los Angeles’ electronic plan review program. She currently serves at the City in dual roles as Chief of Development Services Case Management and Zoning Engineer.

Minye holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from UCLA and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. She has also dedicated her time to international and community service, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles and engineering Ministries international (eMi), Guatemala office.

Minye's contributions to SEAOSC include serving on the SEAOSC Board of Directors for 2024–2025, serving on the Women in Structural Engineering (WiSE) Committee, and participating on the organizing committees for several WiSE Leadership Symposia. She co-developed and launched the SEAOSC Mentorship Program and helped establish the SEAOSC Mentorship Committee. In recognition of her commitment to public service and the engineering profession, she received the SEAOSC Public Service Award.
