The SEAONC Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Endowment Committee distributes monies annually from a perpetual endowment to relevant entities, programs, scholarships, and initiatives to provide grant resources for underrepresented groups in Northern California to learn about, join, and thrive in the structural engineering profession. 

Where Your Gift Goes

Each year the DEI Endowment Committee selects one or more organizations to support underrepresented groups in Northern California. Grants from previous years are detailed below. 

• 2025 - 2026 Techbridge Girls

• 2024 - 2025 Girls Garage

• 2023 - 2024  Community Engaged Education in Civil and Environmental Engineering, or (CEE)2

• 2022 - 2023  AC Week

• 2021 - 2022 National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE), and the Society of Women Engineers (SWE)
