October 2024 SEAOCC President's Message

Dear Members,

As the crisp fall air settles in and the temperatures finally drop, I hope you’re all enjoying this beautiful season. It’s a time for reflection and connection, and I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your continued support and engagement in the many events we've had recently.

First, a big thank you to everyone who attended our September dinner meeting and inaugural trivia event at Fieldworks! Your participation made it a memorable evening, and congratulations to our trivia winners for showcasing their knowledge and teamwork. A special thanks to Doug Mayer, Catherine Moore, and Francisco Rodriguez for hosting and organizing it!

I also want to extend my appreciation to those who joined us for our October dinner meeting. ENGEO delivered an outstanding presentation on geotechnical code updates, providing invaluable insights into our industry's evolving landscape.

Furthermore, I want to acknowledge our members who attended the Women in Construction conference. I'm so proud to see SEAOCC represented at this event and want to thank our SE3 workshop speaker Lisa Hartley for her efforts in representing SEAOCC and promoting our mission to the broader construction industry.

As we look ahead, I encourage everyone to explore the various local, State and National events planned by our community. Getting involved in meetings, committees and conferences is a great way to deepen your connections and contribute to our organization’s goals.
