January 2025 SEAOCC President's Message

Dear Members,

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a great holiday season—whether you spent it relaxing, celebrating with loved ones, or just catching up on some much-needed rest. As we start 2025, I’m excited about the fresh opportunities this year brings for all of us, both personally and professionally.

We’ve got some great events coming up in the next few months, and I hope you’ll join us! In January, we hosted our annual joint dinner meeting with ACI. We did a dive into the fascinating world of concrete 3D printing—a technology that’s not only innovative but could completely change how we think about construction.

February’s dinner meeting is still in the works, so stay tuned for updates. We’re working to bring in a speaker or plan an event you’ll find engaging and thought-provoking. Please reach out if you have a burning idea!

In March, we’ll hold a special session on artificial intelligence and its impact on our profession. AI is making waves in so many industries, and I’m looking forward to exploring how it’s shaping the future of engineering.

As we dive into this new year, let’s keep an open mind and embrace the possibilities ahead. Whether it’s trying something new, tackling a challenging project, or finding ways to connect with others in the industry, there’s so much potential for growth and collaboration.
