About SEAOSD
San Diego’s home for structural engineers since 1967
SEAOSD started in the 1950s as a lunch group of local engineers who couldn’t make it to meetings in Los Angeles. By 1967 it had grown to ninety-one charter members and joined the Structural Engineers Association of California as its own Member Organization.
Today we bring together engineers, students, contractors, and industry partners across the region through monthly meetings, technical programs, awards, and outreach that helps the public understand the work structural engineers do to keep San Diego safe.
