SEAOC, SEAOSD and San Diego Area Chapter ICC Continuing Education Program:
ASCE 41 Design Examples (FEMA P-2006) - June 27, 2019

Since its original publication in 2006, Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Buildings (ASCE 41) has served as a US consensus standard for seismic evaluation and retrofitting. The methods used in ASCE 41, however, differ in a number of ways from those used to design new buildings. To assist users of the standard, the Applied Technology Council, with funding from FEMA and assistance from SEAOC, has developed FEMA P-2006: Example Application Guide for ASCE/SEI 41-13 Seismic Evaluation and Retrofit of Existing Building with Additional Commentary for ASCE/SEI 41-17. FEMA P-2006 provides illustrations of the ASCE 41 evaluation and retrofit methodologies and helpful information on interpretation and use of the ASCE 41 provisions.

Continuing Education units (CEUs) will be issued by the San Diego Area Chapter of ICC, an ICC Preferred Provider.
